| For the third day we start by visiting San Casciano on our way to the Tignanello estate. While there we visit the original Antica Posta, Marco’s old butcher shop where the owner gives us some great Salami and Prosciutto for the road and a quick stop at the local wine shop. After a tour of Antinori’s Tignanello estate Allegra Antinori joins us for a fantastic lunch which starts with the Antinori version of Squash Blossoms served with Antinori wines including their Chianti Reserva and of course the Tignanello. One of our travelers was sick and unfortunately missed the “Tig” day so Marco had his friend open his wine shop back up for us and we brought back to the villa a 3 liter bottle of the 06 Chianti Reserva and a 3 liter bottle of the 03 Tignanello for dinner to recreate the day. It was a good night |
