| The fourth day started off as a day of leisure and we explored the estate with a winery tour and a visit to the stables. Then we had Marco's dad drop us off in Bolgheri where we had a fantastic lunch overlooking the hills. In the evening we head to our dinner at the Ornellaia estate. After a tour of the winery we enjoy meats and cheeses along with two of their wines on a raised platform around an Oak tree in the middle of a vineyard at sunset. Then we head to an outdoor patio for a dinner that included three vintages of Ornellaia and a bonus of the 2004 Masseto (Parker 98). As the pictures show it was not a bad way to go! |
